The Folger Shakespeare Library is located on Capitol Hill in Washington DC and is home to the world's largest and finest collection of Shakespeare materials, as well as other collections. The Folger opened in 1932 as a gift to the American nation from Henry Clay Folger and his wife Emily Jordan Folger. The interior spaces of the library are inspired by the Elizabethan era - and it even has an authentic looking theater.
